What is the premise of Casey McQuiston’s bestseller?

In Red, White, & Royal Blue, the President’s son and the Prince of England’s bitter rivalry blows up and ends with a reluctant PR partnership that slowly morphs into something more.

Alex Claremont-Diaz, America’s First Son, barely tolerates Henry, the Prince of England, and vice versa.

In the aftermath of a particularly volatile verbal spar, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse, forcing the pair into an unwanted PR faux friendship. Still, no one ever said it was easy to build a relationship with your arch-nemesis.

That is until Alex and Henry learn more about one another, and their fake friendship blossoms into something far more than they ever foresaw.

Who is cast in the Red, White, & Royal Blue movie adaptation?

Taking on the roles of the leading men are Taylor Zakhar Perez, known for his role in the popular Netflix series The Kissing Booth, and Nicholas Galitzine, the star of Purple Hearts, Cinderella, and The Craft: Legacy

Taylor will play Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the U.S. President, and Nicholas will take on the role of Henry, the Prince of England.

When is the release date of Red, White, and Royal Blue?

In June, the cast and crew of Red, White, & Royal Blue traveled to the United Kingdom to begin production. On Twitter, Perez and Galitzine made an official announcement on June 21st.

On August 14th, Perez posted to Instagram, “That’s a picture wrap on Red, White, and Royal Blue! It has been a joyful experience with the best cast and crew any filmmaker could hope to be blessed with. From beginning to end, we laughed together, supported each other, and worked our asses off to bring @casey.mcquiston ’s beautiful story to life. I am particularly grateful to @nicholasgalitzine@taylorzakharperez for their talent, dedication, and tirelessness over these last two months. There’s not a single scene in the movie in which one or both of them are not in. They gave us all a daily master class on what it takes to carry a movie.”

Perez continues and says, “I cannot wait for the world to discover what those of us who worked on the film already know—that they are the perfect two actors too bring Alex and Henry to life. Off to the edit suite! Stay tuned…”
